SAN FRANCISCO, October 7, 2026 — Fancy A Movie, the free ad-supported streaming channel for independent films run by Rhebus TV, is now streaming the independent comedy Burnouts. The film is available at no cost at fancyamovie.com and on Roku.
Burnouts follows two lifelong friends in their late 20s who have never mentally left 2005. After Jeff is dumped, Ben decides to teach him confidence while dealing with unemployment and a dead-end job. Their attempts to take control of their lives produce one disaster after another.
The film was written by Ben Snedecor and Jeff Poindexter and directed by Poindexter. Snedecor and Poindexter star alongside Donovan Blowers. Dylan Peshek, Poindexter and Snedecor produced the film.
[QUOTE FROM JEFF POINDEXTER: request before sending]
“Burnouts is a loving homage to the comedies of the 2000s, made by filmmakers who wrote, produced and acted in it themselves,” said Sean Crawford, founder and CEO of Fancy A Movie. “That is the kind of independent work the channel exists to put in front of viewers, free and without a subscription.”
Fancy A Movie focuses on independent filmmakers and gives their work a place to reach audiences on Roku and the web.
Burnouts is streaming free on Fancy A Movie and on the Fancy A Movie app on Roku.
